Długie Lake is situated in the Banie municipality in the Gryfino County. Tywa River goes through the lake. It is located between road no. 122 in the north, a green bicycle track Banie - Trzcińsko-Zdrój in the east and the road between Baniewice and Swobnica in the west. The south coast of the lake is situated near Swobnica. The lake is located in the western part of the Myślibórz Lake District.
Długie Lake is of glacial origin. It has a shape of an elongated ribbon in the direction of the meridional. It is the second largest lake of the Gryfino County and the largest in the Banie municipality. It has 343.4 ha. It is shallow and in the deepest point it measures 6.8 m, and the average depth is 4.2 m. Its bottom is muddy, but the water is fairly clear (cleanliness – class 2). Fishermen will find numerous species of fish there. They can catch zanders, breams, crucian carps, perches and tenches. The lake is surrounded by forests and on the banks there are reeds.
Both in Swobnica and Baniewice there are resorts with camping cabins and tent fields. You can relax taking advantage of forests, walking, cycling and picking mushrooms. On the lake from the side of Baniewice there is a jetty with a marina for small boats. Near the jetty there is a beach and an unguarded bathing area. For those who like spending their time actively, it is worth recommending rafting on Tywa River which goes through Długie Lake. Also being in the surroundings it is worth sightseeing the castle of the Order of Saint John in Swobnice, as well as the gothic Chapel of St. George in Banie from the 15th century.
